Potato Patch Store

Our Mission Statement

In 2007 my show horse contracted EPM. This kicked off a frustrating try-fail cycle of using one treatment after another. All of which did little to cure the cause, and mostly masked the symptoms. So I took it upon myself to help my equine friend live a full life.

this disease (EPM) turned out to be a parasitic affliction. The answer was simple, kill off the freeloading parasites. I created the Wormless recipe with this in mind. My equine is rid of EPM parasites, and he went on to be a multiple World and Reserve World champion.

The efficiency of this formula and protocol made me wonder, what other ailments could our horses be rid of with the right herbal remedy. Ulcers? You betcha. Trouble with mare’s getting in foal? No problem. Poor semen quality? Not anymore. That evolved into developing our own daily vitamin mixture, joint and bone supplement, sleep deprivation assistance, adrenal support for those oddities and non-sweaters, and finally a complete supplement that is a combination of them all.

With over a decade of research, refinement, and use It is our hope that these same natural, plant-based formulas can promote a happy life for your equines as they have for all those that have called Potato Patch Farms home.

Note: this is currently an incomplete list of everything we offer. Bear with us as we develop logos and get the site set up. If you have need of adrenal support, calming and sleeping assistance, a daily supplement for all your horse’s nutritional needs, or a complete supplement to cover all of your bases, please email us at potatopatchfarms@gmail.com.

Bought Tum Tum for one of my horses that wouldn’t let me touch her flank area without lifting her leg like she was going to kick me. She would pin her ears and was so not herself. I had 3 vets look at her and they all said she was completely sound. Since starting the supplement she is a completely new horse, my girl is finally back to her sweet, normal self! Can’t wait to try more supplements from Potato Patch

Product Details

We designed this formula to protect, soothe and condition the entire gastrointestinal tract of our furry friends. It positively impacts the microbiome of the stomach, clears debris including heavy metals, parasites, bacteria, and other toxins, while soothing and conditioning the entire tract. I have not used anything on foals or fore and hind-gut ulcers that is more effective (or I would be offering that!) while being effective and safe. And we have used it on hundreds of our fur babies! Formulated with organic or wild harvested herbs, plants, charcoal and other 100% all-natural containing Garlic, Cayenne, Baja Gold, Fenugreek Seed, Bentonite Clay, Activated Charcoal, Brown Flax Seed, Marshmallow Root, Apple Pectin, Psyllium Husk, Slippery Elm,Ginger, Peppermint, Tumeric, Peppercorn, Apple Fiber, Apple Cider Vinegar, Celery Seeds, Echinacea, Sodium Bicarbonate.

The following is the range of uses we have found it to be incredibly effective for:

1) “Nervous” tummy at shows or performances, indicated by looser than normal stools due to the “excitement” of being at a competitive event!

Protocol: begin 1oz every day 2 days prior to competition. Increase to 2X a day or 3X as needed.

2) Fore-gut ulcers, often indicated by an aggressiveness close to feeding time, undue crankiness in general, ranging periodically with an unwillingness to eat enough, anxiety, etc,

Protocol: feed 1 oz twice a day for 5 days, then 1/2oz twice a day for 60 days.

3) Hind-gut ulcers take much longer to heal and are far more painful and debilitating to your furry friend. Often indicated by lower back pain, “hunter bump” at the loin or “roach back”, cold backed when mounting, loping poorly and without lift, especially to the right, without visible unsoundness at the trot, hindgut ulcers are very hard to diagnose medically and can have a range of symptoms. Please feel free to contact us with questions that you may have in regards to your concerns. We love helping our furry friends.

Protocol: feed 1oz 2X/day for 30 days and then 1/2 oz/2X daily for 90 additional days.

4) Diarrhea: loose stools that lack definition, excessive liquid surrounding and exiting with semi-normal stool, all the way to wall-painting squirts!

Protocol for mature horses: feed 1 oz 2-4 times a day depending on the stool’s “softness ” level. Once the stool begins to solidify, cut the dosage by half, maintaining the number of times per day for at least a few additional days. If stool becomes solid, lower the number of times per day.

Protocol for foals: mix with mare milk, molasses, honey, or Pepto Bismol @ 1/2 teaspoon to 12ml or more of liquid until you have a paste. Administer by mouth every 4 hours until the squirts slow down (usually 4 times), then back off to every 8 hours for 2 days, then every 12 for 2 days. Use your best judgment and watch for pasty poo. Once pasty gray-ish poos are evident, you can begin to back down the dosage or increase the time interval between doses. Whichever best suits your schedule. If poo gets more solid than desired, lower the current dose by half.

Tum Tum is safe to use every single day indefinitely for the conditioning of the entire gastrointestinal tract. It feeds your horse’s microbiome of the tract, positively impacting the immune system and the body’s overall health.

Protocol: Feed 1/2 to 1 oz per day

For best results, we strongly recommend never feeding grains containing any of the following when an animal struggles gastrointestinal complaints: wheat, wheat middlings, wheat byproducts, grain byproducts, GMO grains, etc.
